Winter Skincare Tips: Oily Skin
The Top 7 Oily Skin Tips for the Winter:
Keep clear of oily makeup.
It is not a good idea for you to apply oily jelly-based creams on your face before bed, even though people around you with really dry skin might feel the urge to do so.
Cleanse skin.
Use a mild cleanser twice a day to clean your skin. To get rid of any rubbish, dirt, and extra oil, this is essential. Note that using hot water to wash your face could strip your skin of its natural oils, which will in turn overstimulate your oil receptors and increase the production of oil. Instead, use lukewarm water.
Exfoliate your skin two to three times a week.
That is roughly once every two days. Scrubbing too hard or using physical exfoliants (which usually have a gritty or sandy texture) could aggravate and possibly even damage your skin. The salicylic or glycolic acid found in the best exfoliants will deeply clear your pores. Scrub your skin two to three times a week. That is roughly twice a week. Exfoliation assists in removing debris, extra oil, and dead skin cells from the skin's surface. Because they will deeply clean your pores, salicylic or glycolic acid-based exfoliators are ideal for oily skin types.
Apply moisture twice a day.
To keep your skin balanced, use a moisturizer or lotion without oil. Select products free of silicone and oil to prevent pore clogging. Remember to use a broad-spectrum SPF as well, even in the winter. Throughout the year, sunscreen should be applied every day.
